Westside Connector Trail

The Westside Connector Trail on the Atlanta BeltLine is an important project that enhances urban connectivity by fostering community engagement and promoting a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. This 1.7-mile trail connects downtown Atlanta to historic Westside neighborhoods, such as Vine City and English Avenue, creating a vital link between urban areas and green spaces. The trail is part of a broader plan to extend a 10-mile link to the Silver Comet Trail, which would allow residents and visitors to access over 100 miles of continuous trail from downtown Atlanta to Alabama. By providing a safe and accessible path for walking, biking, and other activities, the Westside Connector Trail encourages physical activity, community interaction, and environmental stewardship. This initiative not only improves local quality of life but also supports economic growth through increased access to emerging job centers and recreational opportunities
